Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information SIMBAP (“SIMBAP”, “we”, “us”) collects through the SIMBAP mobile app and website, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using SIMBAP you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
| Category | What we collect |
|---|---|
| Account | When you sign in with Google: your email address, display name, a unique account ID, the sign-in provider, and the times you joined and last signed in. |
| Orders and eSIMs | The plan you buy, price and currency, payment status, order and PayPal transaction identifiers, and the eSIM details we create for you (activation address, activation code, status, validity dates, data usage). |
| Support | Messages you send through inquiries and refund requests, including the reason you give, and our replies. |
| Device | Your phone model and whether it appears to support eSIM, used on the My eSIM screen. This is read on your device and is not used to identify you. |
| Preferences | Your language and notification settings, which are stored on your device. |
We do not collect your payment card or PayPal login details. We do not collect your phone number, contacts, or precise location.
2. How we use information
- To create and manage your account and sign you in.
- To process payments, deliver and show your eSIM, and keep your purchase history.
- To answer inquiries, review refund requests, and send notices about your orders and the service.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, keep the service secure, and meet legal and accounting obligations.
- To fix problems and improve the app.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run SIMBAP, and only as needed:
- Google (Firebase and Google Sign-In) — authentication, database, hosting and server functions.
- PayPal — payment processing. PayPal handles your payment details under its own privacy policy.
- eSIM providers — our network partners that issue the eSIM profile for the plan you buy.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of users and SIMBAP.
4. Where your data is stored
Your data is stored and processed on Google Cloud infrastructure, which may be located outside your country. By using SIMBAP you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries.
5. How long we keep it
We keep account information while your account is active. Order and payment records are kept for as long as needed to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements, then deleted or anonymized. Support messages are kept for as long as needed to resolve your request and handle follow-up questions.
6. Your choices and rights
- Access and correction: you can view your orders and eSIMs in the app.
- Delete your account: use Delete account in the Profile tab (or follow these steps). Records we must keep by law may be retained after deletion.
- Notifications: you can turn notifications on or off in the app’s notification settings.
- Other requests: to ask about or object to how we use your data, send an inquiry from Support in the app.
7. Security
We protect your information with access controls, encrypted connections, and restricted database rules. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
SIMBAP is not intended for children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us through Support and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date, and tell you in the app when changes are significant.
10. Contact
For any privacy question or request, send an inquiry from Support in the SIMBAP app.
